Arts Award Review Unit 1 parts A&B

The journey through my Silver arts award challenge has taught me a range of new skills such as
research, time management and organizational skills as well as how to develop and tone the skills I already have such as my ability to write and structure sentences and focus on my strengths and weaknesses.

Over this past year, I have learnt the skills of being leader in a workshop I organised myself, and how to write out and successfully accomplish my own action plan.
While learning these new things I have also thoroughly enjoyed every part of the experience of writing and producing my own song, and performing it live with my friends.

I enjoyed watching and reviewing the 'Spiro', 'Leveret' and 'Sheku Kanneh Manson' music concerts as well as participating in events and workshops such as drama shows and art lessons at the Harlaxton homeschooling group.
Being able to interview and understand more about Sarah Watson's journey in becoming an artist was very inspiring.
It was interesting to find out about how she promotes herself as an artist and what courses she took to peruse it.
It taught me to research ways in which I can pursue my dream of becoming a singer-songwriter which lead me to discovering new and potential career opportunities in the arts, which was very a fun and exiting project.

It was great to gather the reviews and comments from my Instagram and YouTube on my song 'Somewhere a Melody'. I enjoyed reading them and taking the advice from family and friends on how to improve for next time.

My Arts award Challenge has taught me many new skills which I will be using to help better improve my work in the future. I'm very happy to have accomplished and learned so much, it has defiantly motivated me to work hard on my music and keep producing more songs!
