Career opportunities in Music: Unit 1 part D

Here is a list of some possible career opportunities in music.

1. Music producing (I have a great ability to produce my own songs as well as write and sing them, the app 'GarageBand' has given me a lot of freedom to play around with the sounds of my songs as well as giving me the ability to add layers of music on top of one another which I really enjoy doing.)

2. Music teacher (I can play the Guitar, piano and harp, however I have an excellent ear for music and I love composing songs for a range of different musical instruments, making harmonies and putting them together like a symphony.)

3. Dance choreographer ( I go to my local musical theater group so I am very familiar with learning and teaching choreographed dances. My ear for music helps out with creating choreography to go along with the beat of a song. I also would also say I use my ability to recall every beat to my advantage when it comes to memorizing specific dance moves and the orders they are put in.)

4. Recording engineer (Recording engineers record, mix and reproduce sound. They balance science with art and tend to draw on fields such as electronics, acoustics and music. Before a recording session, the recording engineer has to familiarize themselves with the clients music style to be better prepared for the session. After the audio is recorded, the recording engineer is in charge of audio post-production—the mixing and editing of the recorded audio.)

5. Session Musician (Session musicians, studio musicians, or backing musicians are musicians hired to perform in recording sessions or live performances. I have already performed live with my friends at  Lincoln collage where I played my original song 'Somewhere a Melody' in front of an audience. I also have plenty of stage experience from productions at my local New Youth Theater group, where I have done nearly seven years of acting, dancing and singing in more than 15 show productions.)
